TSC RELEASES 2024 HOUSE ALLOWANCE CLUSTERS ACROSS ALL CADRES
In order to address the longstanding disparities in teacher house allowance, Teachers Service Commission TSC has recently introduced 2024 revised structure clusters .
The commission has issued the structure for house allowances which are categorized into regions based on clusters.
TSC house allowance structure is categorize regions into four clusters.
Note that the clusters are based on the geographical location of the schools this providing teachers with house allowances that align with the cost of living in their respective areas.
CLUSTER 1: TEACHERS IN NAIROBI CITY
The above cluster includes the capital city of Kenya Nairobi. It is known for its relatively high cost of living.
Teachers teaching in this cluster receive the highest house allowance,that currently range from 3,850 KES to 6,750 KES.This also depend on their grade.
CLUSTER 2: INCLUDES MOMBASA, KISUMU PARTS , NAKURU CITIES, NYERI PARTS , ELDORET, THIKA, KISII, MALINDI, AND KITALE MUNICIPALITIES:
The above cluster covers other major cities and municipalities in the country. I’m these areas , the cost of living is relatively high compared to rural areas but lower than Nairobi area.
The House allowances in this cluster range normally ranges from 4,500 KES to 10,000 KES.
This also vary from one county to another.
CLUSTER 3: LEVEL COVERS OTHER FORMER MUNICIPALITIES
Under this cluster , the municipalities are those outside the major cities,in which the cost of living is more than moderate.
In these areas, the teachers receive house allowances ranging from 3,850 KES to 12,800 KES per month.
This also ranges from job group to another.

CLUSTER 4:COVERS ALL OTHER AREAS
Under this cluster, the list includes the rural and less urbanized regions.
Their TSC house allowance 2024 range from 3,850 KES to 21,508 KES per month
Important to note that with new house allowance structure , there is a substantial increase in the allowances provided to teachers in various clusters compared to the past years.
