TSC NEW SALARY STRUCTURE C2 TEACHERS AFTER PHASE1 INCREMENT

After the phase 1 salary increment implementation, alterations effected on the salary structure for grade C2 , Secondary Teachers II, Lecturer II, and also those under Special Needs Teacher (Primary/Senior Teacher II).

Based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) signing, those teachers serving under the entry level of Teacher Grade C2, who are mostly  graduate teachers, the increment in their monthly basic pay is up to Sh4,164.

On the other hand, those teachers at Grade C3 attract a rise of up to  Sh5,141, and DS-grade teachers increment of up to Sh4,883.

The new salary adjustments impact on educators, thus making it a relief and improvement on financial prospects in their profession.

Here are the salary changes for these teaching grades

Current Grade C2,who are teachers at Salary Point 1, the increment pushed their new basic salary to 36,621 KES.

Note that thus increases with each point.

TSC new changes in basic salary is very  key since it serves as a demonstration of the government’s dedication to enhancing the well-being of teachers.

Apart from the above adjusted basic salaries, these TSC professionals are also entitled to benefit from various allowances tailored to address their specific needs and challenges as well.

For those in Hardship areas, the  allowance at Grade C2 and T Scale 7 educators is  10,900 KES per month.

These teachers also earn a Commuter Allowance of 5,000 KES , the money  which is meant to assist with daily commuting expenses.

On top of that, they are also entitled to Annual Leave Allowance which is meant to recognize the importance of teachers taking breaks,which is paid at  6,000 KES will be provided.

Fir those with disability, they get a  significant addition is the Disability Guide Allowance, of 20,000 KES, meant to  offer extra support to educators working with students with disabilities.
